Give Green Day

Give Green Day encouraged donations to various organizations on MSU’s campus. We want to thank those who donated on Give Green day. Organizations like MSU safe place and MSU Sexual Assault Program aid survivors in their recovery.  RCGV stands with all survivors of violence and supports them in their healing process. We strive for a future without sexual assault and domestic violence.
Thank you to all the generous donors who made financial contributions on Give Green Day! The MSU Center for Gender in Global Context raised $25,930 to help students in their educational journeys.
In the 2017-2018 school year, the MSU Sexual Assault Program served over 600 student survivors. The Survivor Emergency Fund was created to provide financial support for survivors of sexual violence to help them in their healing journey. Student survivors can access the Sexual Assault Program for therapy and other resources to help them in their healing process and survivorships. The MSU Sexual Assault Program Survivor Emergency Fund will help survivors with a variety of financial needs, including medical bills, housing fees, academic support and legal fees.
MSU Safe Place Advocacy and Program Fund raised $4,443! MSU Safe Place provides temporary confidential housing to survivors of stalking and relationship violence. This project will allow MSU Safe Place to assist survivors with the resources related to their healing and gaining independence. Survivors of domestic violence and stalking experience a wide variety of challenges in their survivorship, such as legal issues, safety issues, health needs and more.
Examples of expenses for survivors could include: lock changes, utility bills, obtaining birth certificates, prescription costs, transportation costs, work uniforms, service of personal protection orders or other legal documents, housing application fees, academic needs, and child-specific necessities.
